The Alternatives to Violence Program at Dixon Family Services provides the opportunity for those who have been convicted of domestic violence or other violent offense to complete the 52-Week court mandated Domestic Violence Program or an Anger Management Program without leaving the community. Batterers Classes are available now.
Services are provided based on a sliding scale for fees. Those with a proven inability to pay fees are awarded a nominal fee plan.
The domestic violence batterers classes are offered at very convenient times.
The primary goal of the anger management program is to help end family violence and strengthen the family unit by providing intensive therapy programs and educating victims and offenders to change the beliefs, attitudes and behaviors that lead to violence. We believe that personal accountability for behavior is key to making personal change. It is the goal of our domestic management program to foster change by developing personal insight and responsibility for choices.
